The Greater Waco Chamber has completed its 2022 Wage and Fringe Benefits Survey Report. The Chamber hosts this survey every two years for all local employers to participate in. This year, the Greater Waco Chamber utilized the assistance of Baylor University to conduct the survey and data analysis.
The survey sought to provide a profile of responding organizations, insights into their staffing practices (including recruitment and training), details of benefits offered, and current compensation for a wide-ranging set of pre-defined positions. The report includes average and median wage levels for over 100 job titles ranging from unskilled to professional labor. The report also lists the benefits offered by participating employers to hourly and salary workers.
Data was collected from November 2021 to January 2022. Questions were answered as of November 1, 2021. The survey was closed for tabulation with 120 usable responses from a variety of industries across McLennan County.
Findings from the survey showed over 30% of the respondents reported an increase in employment during the last 12 months, and 56% of respondents expect to increase staff levels over the next 12 months.
The full results of the survey are available for purchase for $100. Those interested in purchasing the results can contact Lexy Reil, lreil@wacochamber.com.
