The Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that we have graduated our latest class of Leadership Waco students. Yesterday, we hosted a luncheon to celebrate the graduates.

“We are incredibly proud of this class,” said Rachel Martinez, program director. “They’ve persevered through an unprecedented year and participated as we worked through virtual and hybrid classes.”

Upon reflection, the class representative, Mark Firmin, Beard Kultgen Brophy Bostwick & Dickson, PLLC, remarked that participation in Leadership Waco showed him the impact and importance of creating community. This Leadership Waco class took their commitment to the community seriously and donated 326 pairs of socks and 130 pieces of underwear to Caritas, $350 in Christmas gifts to Mission Waco, 100 mattresses to Victorious Life Church and the Family Abuse Center and $900 for the Greater Waco Chamber’s Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) program. In addition to physical donations, the class helped the Family Abuse Center recover from the winter storm by repainting their kitchen and playroom as their class project.
