Greater Waco Chamber Thanks Educators

This week, the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce team and a dozen volunteers spent the week delivering special gifts to K-12 schools in McLennan County.

“This has been an incredibly rewarding experience,” said Jennifer Branch, director of existing industries and workforce development for the Chamber. “With the help of our wonderful volunteers, we were able to visit over 100 campuses in all 27 districts in McLennan County!”

Every other year the Chamber selects an industry to honor. This year’s event looked different than prior years, but with the help of the community, the Greater Waco Chamber honored educators who have been essential, especially this year. Each campus received a plant, a sheet cake and a “Thank You” card with a link to offers and discounts from Chamber members who want to help thank teachers.

“It has been an unprecedented year and brought on new challenges that have only added to the pressures that educators face every day. They have adjusted and pivoted and done everything they can to help keep our children safe and healthy; they deserve all the praise,” said Branch.
