Greater Waco and McLennan County have demonstrated a commitment to provide ongoing and aggressive support for recruitment and expansion opportunities in our region, providing you the long-term operating stability to meet future needs.
Our dedicated Business Retention and Expansion staff provides ongoing “customer service” representation to ensure a positive business climate and help in securing support for new opportunities.
In 2003 my two partners and I formed TMI to service the Aerospace and Oilfield manufacturing community along with other manufacturing throughout the region.
We were renting, as most businesses do, and wanted to build a permanent home in the area but needed help identifying the right community for our growth needs.
My involvement with the Greater Waco Aviation Alliance was pivotal in pointing us in the right direction. Through the Alliance, I was introduced to the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce Economic Development team and key community leaders. With their help, we were able to create a mutually beneficial agreement with the City of Bellmead and the Bellmead Economic Development Corporation (BEDC).
Working with the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce’s Business Retention and Expansion program and the BEDC we were able to identify a suitable building site and financing option allowing us to construct our new 30,000 sq. ft. facility and increase our ability to grow our skilled workforce.
We are very thankful to the City of Bellmead and the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce for their involvement in securing a positive outcome for TMI and the Greater Waco community.
