In 2014, Texans overwhelmingly re-elected Senator John Cornyn to represent them for a third term in the U.S. Senate. Since he was first elected in 2002, Cornyn has earned a national reputation as an articulate and powerful voice for Texas and conservative values in Washington. Cornyn, a San Antonio native, strongly believes that more Texas solutions are needed in Washington.

He has committed himself to strengthening our national defense, securing our borders, repairing our broken immigration system and strengthening the economy by keeping taxes low, reducing federal spending, and fighting job-killing regulations from Washington bureaucrats. Cornyn has also been an advocate for Texas military personnel, veterans and their families, and he has fought to provide these Americans with the best possible support, care and benefits.

In addition to serving on the Senate Finance, Intelligence and Judiciary Committees, Cornyn served in the 114th and 115th Congress as the Majority Whip, a position giving Texas a powerful seat at Congress’ leadership table.

Clara Crespo serves as Economic and Commercial Counselor at the Embassy of Spain in Washington, D.C. since September 2022. She is responsible for monitoring U.S. economic and financial market affairs as well as energy policy developments.

Clara is a member of the Spanish High Corps of State Economists and Trade Experts. Since she joined in 2005, she has specialized in European, international and multilateral economic relations.

She holds an MSc in European Studies with Distinction from the London School of Economics (2001) and is a graduate in Economics from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (1999).

In 2012, Ted Cruz was elected as the 34th U.S. Senator from Texas. A passionate fighter for limited government, economic growth and the Constitution, Cruz won a decisive victory in both the Republican primary and the general election, despite having never before been elected to office.

In the Senate, Cruz serves as Chairman of the Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation; the Committee on Foreign Relations; the Committee on the Judiciary; the Joint Economic Committee; and the Committee on Rules and Administration.

Before being elected, Cruz received national acclaim as the Solicitor General of Texas, the State’s chief lawyer before the U.S. Supreme Court. Serving under Attorney General Greg Abbott, Cruz was the nation’s youngest Solicitor General, the longest serving Solicitor General in Texas, and the first Hispanic Solicitor General of Texas.

Curtis Dubay, chief economist in the Economic Policy Division at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, tracks the condition of the economy, analyzes the impact of public policy on economic growth, and runs the Chamber’s Chief Economists Committee. The committee consists of chief economists from member businesses. It helps the Chamber formulate economic policies and provides analysis to policymakers in Washington, D.C.

Previously, Dubay was senior economist at the American Bankers Association where he worked on tax issues and followed the economic trends affecting the banking industry. Prior to ABA, he was a research fellow in tax and economic policy at The Heritage Foundation. There he researched and published on tax and economic policy issues.

Earlier in his career, Dubay worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in the firm’s transfer pricing division structuring international transactions, and before that at the Tax Foundation where he authored three widely recognized and cited reports: Tax Freedom Day, State-Local Tax Burdens, and The State Business Tax Climate Index.

Dubay has researched and published frequently on a wide range of tax and economic issues. He is regularly quoted by the press and has appeared often in the media, including on CNBC, Fox Business, Fox News, and C-SPAN. He has testified before Congress several times and been cited in newspapers such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, and Politico.

Dubay received his master’s degree in economics from the University of Connecticut and his bachelor’s degree in economics and leadership studies from the University of Richmond. He resides in Washington, D.C., with his wife and three sons.

Christopher Guith is the senior vice president of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Global Energy Institute. He leads the Institute’s efforts to build support for meaningful energy and environmental action nationally and internationally through policy development, education, and advocacy.

The Institute has attracted grassroots advocates across the nation supporting its efforts to capitalize on America’s tremendous energy promise. The Institute also regularly contributes policy analysis and research, including the groundbreaking Index of Energy Security Risk and the International Index of Energy Security Risk, the first tools to quantify America’s energy security on an annual basis, as well as the comprehensive Energy Works for US platform, which provided policy recommendations to secure our nation’s energy future.

Guith offers expertise on an array of energy and environmental issues. He educates policymakers, businesses, energy stakeholders, coalitions, and the public about the importance of a diversified energy portfolio and how it can ensure an efficient, reliable, prosperous, and secure energy future. He also leverages his broad energy expertise as a spokesperson with local, state, and national media.

Guith travels frequently to speak to stakeholder groups, raising awareness of the impact of policy decisions on America’s energy future and encouraging groups to share their perspectives with policymakers. In addition, he consults with state and local chambers of commerce and business groups, advising them how to quantify the importance of safe, reliable American energy to their businesses, as well as how to amplify that message when communicating with energy decision makers.

Prior to joining the Chamber in 2008, Guith served as deputy assistant secretary for nuclear energy at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), where he developed the administration’s nuclear energy policies and coordinated the department’s interactions with Congress, stakeholders, and the media. He was also deputy assistant secretary for congressional affairs at DOE and a chief representative of the administration during the drafting and debate of the Energy Policy Act of 2005.

Earlier in his career, Guith served as Rep. Bob Barr’s (R-GA) legislative director and Rep. Tim Murphy’s (R-PA) counsel and policy adviser. He was also legislative counsel for the Environment, Technology & Regulatory Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Guith is a graduate of Syracuse University-College of Law and the University of California-Santa Barbara.

With over two decades of experience in international trade, investment promotion, and economic diplomacy, JP Joungwoo Park currently serves as the President of KITA Washington Center, leading efforts to strengthen U.S.-Korea economic relations. In this role, he engages with federal and state governments, business leaders, and policymakers to advocate for trade policies, promote investment, and enhance bilateral cooperation.

Before his current position, Park was the Director of the Asset Development Department at KITA, where he spearheaded a $2 billion redevelopment project for COEX Exhibition Hall and City Air Terminal, both of which are owned and operated by KITA to support its member companies. Managing a multidisciplinary team of architects, engineers, and financial experts, he led investment planning, architectural oversight, and stakeholder negotiations to transform COEX into a world-class trade and business hub.

Prior to that, he served as Vice President of KITA New York Center, where he supported Korean companies entering the U.S. market by providing strategic advisory services, market entry guidance, and facilitating business partnerships. He worked closely with KITA member companies to navigate regulatory challenges, identify investment opportunities, and establish a foothold in the U.S. market. His role involved direct engagement with U.S. business leaders, trade organizations, and policymakers to foster Korea-U.S. economic cooperation.

Earlier in his career, Park played a pivotal role in fostering U.S.-Korea economic ties through his work with the Korea-U.S. Economic Cooperation Committee (KUSEC), where he organized trade summits and facilitated partnerships between 200+ business leaders from both countries.

Park holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Mathematics from New York University. He enjoys playing golf, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Pete Sessions believes the United States of America is the greatest country on Earth and is a strong advocate for civility among our elected officials. As a Member of the 119th Congress, Pete is a voice of balance, reason, and common sense.

A native of Waco, Texas, Pete attended local public schools until the ninth grade. His father, Judge William Sessions, led a successful career as a Federal District Judge and was appointed to serve as the fourth Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation under President Ronald Reagan. His father’s leadership instilled Pete with a sense of duty and integrity for elected and non-elected roles in public.

Pete attended Winston Churchill High School in San Antonio. Afterward, he graduated from Southwestern University in 1978. After college, he began working for the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Over his 16-year career, Pete never missed a day of work before retiring as District Manager.

He was first elected to Congress in 1996. Throughout his 28 years in Congress, Pete has been an integral player within the Republican Party. He spent a decade in Republican Party leadership and was instrumental in the House Majority balancing the federal budget from 1998 to 2001. Pete was Chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee from 2009 through 2012, leading to a net 63-seatvictory in 2010. From 2013 to 2019, Congressman Sessions served as Chairman of the House Committee on Rules, where he revived bipartisan efforts and accelerated the Republican agenda in the House of Representatives. He is currently a senior Member on the House Financial Services Committee and is the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Government Operations on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

No member of the Texas delegation has passed more legislation off the floor than Congressman Sessions. Notably, he sponsored and passed the Border Tunnel Task Force Act in 2018 to create a directorate to intercept illegal tunneling operations on the southern border. One of Pete’s key accomplishments was sponsoring and passing the Family Opportunity Act of 2005, which enables families of medically stressed children to receive comprehensive healthcare. The bill became law in 2006 after Congressman Sessions and his son Alex worked with President Bush.

Pete has always valued his community involvement throughout his life. He, his father, and two sons are Eagle Scouts. Over the years, he has served in various leadership roles with the Boy Scouts of America, disability assistance, and local conservation groups. He also devoted twelve years to serving on the Board of Trustees at his alma mater, Southwestern University.

Congressman Sessions lives in Waco, Texas, and is married to Karen Sessions. They are the proud parents of five sons. Bill and his wife Kayle are both medical doctors living in Austin, Texas with Pete’s grandchildren, Virginia and William S. Sessions III. Alex is a special-needs young man who works for Home Depot in Austin. Conor is a U.S. Navy veteran. Liam, a 2020 graduate of Baylor University, lives in Florida. Nicholas works in the financial services industry.
